The Blue Cave near Kaş
Not far from the famous Kaputaş Beach, or about 18 km from the town of Kaş, there is an interesting cave. It’s called the Blue Cave because of the water’s vibrant sapphire color, which results from the dispersion of light. Simple physics, but it looks stunning!
The cave is one of the most attractive spots for tourists and locals alike. However, there’s a catch: you can only reach it by water, and only in a small boat. The entrance to the cave is so low that travelers in the boat will need to duck and might even have to lie down almost flat. Alternatively, you can skip the hassle and swim inside on your own. By the way, if you dive with a mask, you can observe various marine life in the waters, from shrimp colonies to fish, as there is an extensive coral reef here—home to a variety of creatures.
