Turkish Maldives, or trip to Suluada island

A tour to Maldives from Antalya…
..for oner day without going through customs and it’s not a joke!

Suluada – this is a name of the island – a demo version of the Maldives and not for nothing: white sand and turquoise water of the sea look exactly like in the photos, which can easily be found on the Internet, who would not want to visit such beauty personally!

This island was known to sailors in ancient times and was very important because on the island was found a spring of fresh water, from which sailors replenished their supplies for the onward journey. This is where the name “Suluada” – “island with water” (in Turkish “su” – water, “ada” – island) came from.

The island is located at a relative distance from civilisation, but there is absolutely no infrastructure on it: no hotels, no shops, not even water and electricity. All conditions are as close to nature as possible, so be sure that you will take a part of the island with you as a souvenir in the form of sand in your swimsuit). However, that’s what makes this place great! It is impossible to walk on it, as the whole island, except for the two beaches, consists of a mountain in the middle and rocks descending sharply into the water. But thanks to the seclusion, there is a lot of diverse fauna in the water: different species of fish, huge sea turtles and even seals.

This destination is another option for all-day tours, as it is located in relative remoteness: on the border with Kemer – Kumluca district, but is accessible to guests from both the port of Kemer and Antalya. It is also possible to “capture” other beautiful bays on the way to the island, depending on the guests’ wishes, as well as to include the island in the programme of a “cruise” – a yacht holiday with an overnight stay for a few days.
