A Seabob is an underwater “scooter” that pulls you forward while you wear a mask and snorkel, letting you explore the marine world with less effort. It’s the perfect upgrade to classic snorkeling and a popular add-on to yacht charters in Turkey.
What is a Seabob and Who Is It For
- Glide underwater without extra effort: you control it with a trigger and body movements.
- Perfect for beginners and anyone who loves snorkeling but wants more dynamics.
- Best experienced during private tours: yacht rental in Antalya, Kemer, Kaş, Göcek, Fethiye, Marmaris, Bodrum.
How to Use a Seabob
- Lie on your stomach, hold the handles, keep your body and legs straight.
- Press the trigger to accelerate, release to slow down.
- Turn by moving your body and the handles together.
- Beginners are advised to stay at 1.5–2 meters deep for better control.
Safety Rules
- Keep at least 5 meters away from swimmers and yachts.
- Always use a mask, and preferably a life jacket.
- Return to your yacht or starting point when the low battery signal appears.
- Get a short safety briefing from the crew before starting.
Seabob vs Other Water Activities
- Jet ski – fast and noisy on the surface; Seabob – quiet and smooth underwater.
- SUP board – slow-paced relaxation; Seabob – more dynamic and exciting.
- Diving – requires training and heavy equipment; Seabob – simple and accessible.
- Snorkeling – you swim by yourself and get tired quickly; Seabob enhances snorkeling: put on your mask and snorkel, let the scooter pull you forward, and stay longer in the water.
- Looking for diving in Antalya or Kemer? We can organize a 2-in-1 sea tour with both activities.
Where to Try Seabob in Turkey
Seabob rides are usually offered on private yacht charters and gulet cruises. The best areas include:
- Antalya, Kemer, Alanya – great for day yacht rentals.
- Göcek, Fethiye – calm bays and lagoons, perfect for first-timers.
- Marmaris, Bodrum – unique bays, ideal to combine with a gulet charter or weekly motor yacht charter.
- Kaş – excellent underwater visibility and rich marine landscapes.
How Much Does It Cost
Seabob rental is an optional service during a yacht charter in Turkey. Prices depend on location and rental duration.
- On day yacht tours in Antalya, you can book a 15-minute ride or a full-day rental.
- A full-day Seabob rental makes sense for large groups, family trips with children, or those who simply love gadgets.
- Weekly gulet charters may include Seabob, but availability depends on the yacht category – book in advance.
Approximate price: from €50 for 15 minutes, from €300 for a full-day rental.
How to Book
Tell the manager your dates, location, and format (rent a yacht in Turkey for a day or a week), number of guests, and that you’d like to add a Seabob. We’ll arrange the yacht (motor yacht, sailing yacht, catamaran, or gulet) and prepare the equipment for your trip.
