Bays in Kaş

Yağlıca Cove is a very small but insanely beautiful bay on the road from Kaş to Demre. It is so narrow that only a few yachts can fit there at a time, so this is a definite plus for visitors. Another peculiarity is that you can’t go down to the water by land – the shore is rocky, so you can only enjoy this beauty from a boat surrounded by turquoise waters.
Aquarium Cove is located in Demre and is one of the most beautiful bays. It is located between two islands and looks more like a lagoon with incredibly clear water, hence the name “Aquarium”. Ideal for SUP boarding, snorkelling or just swimming.
Tersane Cove. In Lycian times this bay was used for building ships (tersane in turkish means “shipyard”). The so-called Wrecked City of Kekova starts from here – you can clearly see the ruins of the Byzantine Church in the calm water.
Sunken City and Kekova Island.
It is here that the remains of an ancient civilisation can be seen in the clear waters. The city of Dolichiste, located on the island of Kekova, was partially submerged by earthquakes, but was completely abandoned by its inhabitants only during the Arab invasion. You can only observe the ruins from the deck of the yacht, because it is forbidden and unsafe to swim among them. But it is very beautiful!
