Usually embarkation on a yacht board proceeds from the marina. Yet if guests prefer setting off from their hotel it may cause a big deal – the hotel\u2019s pier may not be of the required size for mooring of a big yacht, or may not provide safety during boarding. In such cases the small boats are used. So in this post we will talk about their names and features.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. A dinghy is the smallest type of boat designed usually for two people. It may be inflatable or with a fiberglass hull, rowboard or with outboard motor, or even with a sail. Nowadays the fully inflatable dinghy is not used for bringing guests to the yacht.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. A yacht tender is a vessel used for servicing and providing support and entertainment to a main yacht. They are powered usually by outboard or inboard motors, can transport up to several dozen passengers and may be of different designs. The commonly used type of tenders is Rigid-hulled Inflatable Boat, so called RIB, their length varies between 3m and 15m. This particular type is used on our yachts in case of impossibility of mooring.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    By the way, you may have heard the phrase that the guests will be taken from the land by the Zodiac. So we reveal the mystery right now: Zodiac is the name of a manufacturing company which produces RIBs that are very popular among the sailors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    For superyachts the tenders are custom made in order to be made in the same style with a main yacht, in order to meet the wishes of its owner. These tenders are of different styles such as classic, modern, sedan and RIB as well and are capable of gaining the speed up to 60 knots.<\/span><\/p>\n
